Hello All,
Looking to replace a brake motor on a Hardinge Speed lathe. The original has a Westinghouse motor (311P805) with a Stearns brake (1-055-351). On some of the later models they supplied with a Leeson motor and brake. The brake motor is no longer available thru Hardinge. Anyone have the Leeson Brake Motor Model Number or Serial Number?
Thanks in advance.
Bob

I think I have a spare brake motor or two. What HP and voltage do you want?

On the HSL I rebuilt, I used a new 1 HP 220V 3 PH motor and added a VFD that runs off 110V single phase. I even added a fwd/rev switch, which the speed lathes never had.

Thanks Larry. The existing brake motor is 208v/3ph, 1725RPM, 1/2hp, F56 Frame. Looking for a rebuilt or new brake motor. Actually only the brake is bad (very noisy) but I figure it might be easier to replace both brake and motor.
