I recently purchased a Bridgeport Series 1 milling machine with power cross feed. I believe it was made in the late 70's or early 80's. Textron manufactured the electronics for it and I am seeking wiring advice.
I am using a phase converter to power the mill which outputs 230v 3phase Delta. My concern is with the high leg. From what I've read it is customary to wire everything so that L3 is the high leg. It appears the power cross feed is 120v so I want to make sure I don't over energize anything. Is making my connections so that L3 is the generated high leg from the phase converter correct in this application? Any info is greatly appreciated! Thanks.
