I plan to replace the feed screws on my Bridgeport mill with ACME type screws. The mill currently has ball screws but one of the screws is bent. I thought the bracket had to be replaced until seeing the brass nuts in the following photo. It looks like it would fit the bracket used for the ball screws. Is that their use? Is it possible to use a bracket designed for ball screws with ACME screws?
