Greetings,
Hoping someone can provide some explanation on
a Lagun variable speed head on my SB Chipmaster CNC mill --- I am replacing all the bearings in the head.
So far, no issues and everything is coming apart well and fine. Except for the bottom variadisk (gear driven flange -- so the book says). My cross section print shows 2 blind pins opposite to each other and that's it. Question: How does this variadisk unit come off the aluminum head? Do I just get longer puller arms to pull off the main shaft? Anyone offer any experience from either a B'port variable head rebuild, or maybe someone has done a Lagun head rebuild like mine . . . . ?
I would really appreciate some insight. I have inserted my url for some photos showing the current state of affairs of my head rebuild.
That variadisk and shaft is what I need removed from the housing.
Thanx for your consideration and help,
scott

Bearing list for lagun head rebuild

Hi,

Could you provide a list of the bearings replaced during your lagun head rebuild. I can only see reference to 2 bearings in your picture´s legend.

I am in the process of rebuilding mine and I have no idea on what to get.

Thank you.

Rui
