Machine parts
I purchased a Bridgeport style milling machine that I have to put together. The machine is a Kondia/Clausing with 2 axis CNC. It was previously used for EDM drilling and never had a milling head. I purchased it with a new Kent 3hp varible speed spindle (off the machine that replaced it as a EDM drill).
I need to make a worm gear to drive the ram adapter. The pitch of the gear teeth on the ram adapter is definately finer than the Kondia. I expect the gear centers to be different than the Kent had. Anybody know how to figure out the pitch of the worm gear? or ram adapter?
