Hey guys, been beating my head against the wall most of the morning trying to figure out why one of our machines wouldn't run this code that I output...finally got it figured out and now I am wondering if there's a way to get the definition dialed in so I don't need to worry about it anymore.

N086 G01 X-293606 Z12243
N088 G02 X-302828 Z5002 I3379 K-7240

Basically start point Z to end point Z is .7241, and my K value there is .7240. In order to get the machine to run this radius we had to change the start point to 1.2244. Obviously the start points and end points are what they are, but I would figure Mastercam to output K-.7241.

I guess there's other I, J, K values in my other programs that run down to the tenths (ten thousandths) place just fine, is this just some sort of anomaly that the coords didn't match up down to that value this time?

To be honest I'm still baffled the machine won't run it.

I assume this is a lathe?
Look in your control definition, what do you have these settings set to?

So it's here and on the record, I got this issue fixed. Bumped the following values to 5 places: NC precision, General math function tolerance, Maximum deviation in calculated arc endpoints from machine grid.
