Did not realize that some CAD/CAM software require a dongle (cleverly disguised, at least to me, as "USB required").
I am more than a little leery regarding a USB stick that cannot be scanned, much less the "lost dongle will not be replaced"
policy. Is it paranoid to be worried regarding keyloggers, malware, etc which could reside in the dongle?
Sort of a weird way (IMHO) to approach piracy issues, as SolidWorks and many others do not use a dongle.
Getting a replacement SW for a crashed computer is fairly straightforward.
Comments appreciated; I am not a software savant, just mildy paranoid.
