Fonts for laser cutting?
I need to make a sign for a customer and I want to have it laser cut. I've done this before and to get a stencil style font I had to draw the letters out myself--doable but a lot of work. That was 8-10 years ago and I'm thinking that, given the proliferation of plasma, laser and water-jet cutting, there must be font libraries available somewhere. Anybody have any ideas or suggestions?

What software are you using.
I have done some engraving, programmed through GibbsCam that started life in CorelDraw, some in Inkscape, and some in another vector Graphics program that I cannot recall right now, that came with the shop's Gerber plastics cutter.
Click 'save as', select a file format off the list that will import in to the cutting software, and yer in like a dirty shirt!
IIRC GibbsCam was able to read and use all the TrueType fonts in Windows. Lots of choices! I'd say quite reasonably that any scalable font can be saved and exported to the cutter. Layout and making it look good, is up to the guy (or gal) at the chair!
Cheers
