Mastercam cutter comp setting

I'm trying to track down a problem i'm having with X2 mill. The cutter makes a large arc through the part when turning on cutter comp, This was installed on a new computer, and inhouse came and set it up. Only does it on new programs, everything works fine on old ones, I can edit and post no problem. There must be a lead in/ out setting i have wrong. :confused:

is this happening on the machine or in masterCam (backplot or verify)? if its on the machine, perhaps you have posted for wear but the control has a value for diameter? but i think that would cause and alarm....
maybe also check to see if your comp is being applied during and arc. make sure lead has a straight line

Only does it on the machine, which doesn't have any toolpath verify. Iv'e looked at other prgrams and can't see any difference.

I've never had a reason to use cutter comp. I Always use the Wear setting in MC. I've seen too many parts get messed up by using CC, cause it very rarely shows up in verify.

Set your path using wear and input 0 on your machine in the tool offset page. Just adjust - or + a couple of thou to bring it to size.

Well, I have gotten around my problem by changing the arc center type to "radius" in the control defintion. Not the way I would like since it dosen't use I,J, etc.
