Can one purchase older versions? Here's why I ask - I've used BobWire V16, V17, and V19. They're not terrible. Clean, easy to use, & puts out code well enough. I just tried V23/V24. I know you didn't ask, but I simply cannot imagine how someone could FSCK something up so horribly as to end up with something so convoluted and counter-intuitive as the newer versions when they started with something very streamlined like the earlier ones.

So, can one purchase V19.3 still?

Yes you can purchase v19 for wire and v21 for mill and lathe. We still offer ansd support these versions.

As far as v24 particpate in the web event, you might just change your mind.

Aldepoalo - I just read my own post and want to apologize for the tone of it. It reads more harshly than I would have liked. My apologies. Thank you for your answer.

    Al,

I've signed up for the Webinar and really hope my work schedule allows me to fully participate. I have V24 Pro with BobArt Pro. I have a 4x5 Router Mill and do mainly woodworking and vinyl with some light aluminum stuff and I think BobCad works well. I haven't done much as far as 3D design other than artsy stuff so far... I watched a DVR'd American Chopper last night and caught a glimpse of Vinnie Making a Drive Cover for Baseball player Aaron Rowand using BobCad to design parts for their HAAS machine. Having the PJD guys using BobCad to design and make parts for their outstanding motorcycles is a pretty good testament that the software works! These images are from the "Mikey Out?" episode that aired 4/30/2012.

    BobCAD-CAM Product Demo

    Tuesday, May 8, 2012 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM EDT

    - Show in my Time Zone
I do not own Bobcad (nor will I give my phone number to ANY salesman ever again ), but the OP might get more hits if he posted when the meeting was scheduled without having us click the link.

    Just trying to be helpful.

Wow, I didn't realize they were using BobCad. They are sponsored by GibbsCam because Sr's shop is sponsored by MasterCam. I do remember when I was using BobCad that the Bob Art was very useful and easy to use. I actually still used it to bring in BMPs and convert it to geometry then machine it with Gibbs. Gibbs and Mastercam don't have an easy way to do this and they cost the most!

I switched phone companies and my new service comes with caller ID
I love it! Saves me a lot of time. All annomyous called are blocked and
    I ignore the unidentified ones.
When the ID says BOB CAD-CAM I press the answer button and the end call
    button in rapid sucession.

The webinars are on every Tuesady and Thursday.

Yes PJD and VFORCE use BobCAD CAM to program parts. Vinny calls me every once in a while for support, I have a great time talking with him about his work!

    Here's a timely thread:

    Overly agressive sales tactics.

    Any thoughts Al?

    Hello Everyone!

If you do not want calls from BobCAD CAM , Please PM me your contact information and I'll have your contact information removed from our CRM.

    bucktruck,

I responded to that thread and PM the original poster to send me their contact information so I can investigate. It is totally unacceptable for any client to be contacted in that manner. If it was us, it will be handled swiftly.

    Yeah.....nice try
(Guys, DO NOT send your contact info to Bobcad)
When the next wave of 'new' sales people come along, all's fair on the contact list including the ones that opted out.
I've made several requests over the years to make them go away......then the next newbie sales guy starts calling all over again.

    DKMC,

I've been on this forum for over a year and if you read the threads I post you'll know I am here to help. If you want your contact information removed from our CRM you would need to provide it to me. If you are not interested ok, either way I am offering my help to eliminate the phone calls you may get in the future.

I know everyone likes to bash on BobCAD, but the truth is everyone's experience is not like yours. We have many happy clients that are very successful with our software. Have you seen some of the projects PJD pumps out of their shop. Yes they really use BobCAD, and yes they are able to make parts. If you just want to spread negative about BobCAD CAM then you must have some kind of purpose for doing so. Otherwise if you want to avoid BobCAD-CAM all together just PM your information and be done with it.

For those who have worked with me, know that I am a stand up guy.

WTF are you talking about? I asked a legitimate question about an allegation that someone was making about BobCad on the other side of PM. (Not the first time something like this has been posted, BTW.)

Anyway, Burr, I really hope that you get paid well by BobCad to be their number one apologist.

Do you think for one second IF they actually try to use the software that they paid for it?
They didn't pay for Gibbs either I am sure
