Mastercam hst scallop

Im using the latest and greatest Mastercam 2017 but I also had this problem with the tool path in X9. The tool path is hi speed scallop. Is there a way to get the tool to recognize check surfaces. It seems like it wants to cut everything drive and check.

That particular toolpath treats all drive surfaces equally, in other words it treats check surfaces as drive. I mainly use it as a finishing toolpath, and will use containment boundaries to keep away from steep walls.

I think there are actually quite a few of the hispeed paths that do not recognize check surfaces... Have you tried creating a containment boundary to control the toolpath?
