We have some old NX2 programs that haven't yet been pulled up into NX8.5. Occasionally Planner Mill "Cut Patterns" go from Profile to Follow Periphery when we bring them up, resulting in a bad tool path. Also, we see the Engage/Retract selections change. Has anyone else seen this? Any solutions? I know Siemens recommends that files are pulled up with each release but that's not an option at this point. Thank you.

It should not make a difference it you save parts in each release, or skip a bunch.
We recommend each release so that if there is a part conversion issue, we can look at it.
You should expect to review all of the non cutting moves, due to the changes made in NX5 (9 years ago). There have been several other NCM enhancements since then. Check out the What's New Guides.
You should not see the cut pattern option change.
Can you upgrade to a current release? NX 8.5 was released almost 4 years ago, and updates stopped at NX 8.5.3 MR in 2015.
