All around machinist looking for a new home
I am a CNC and manual machinist with over 20 years experience. I have been with my last company for 10 years and previous to that 7 years. My latest position was as leadman in a shop doing oil field work. I have worked small parts (jewlery) and large parts (submarine shipyard and oilfeild) My other skills include welding mig tig and stick. forklift operator, overhead crane operator. In my career I've set up and operated most of the common machine tools. large and small lathe, vtl's, large and small mills. I've programmed using mazatrol and a couple of the other conversational controls. Also manually inputed g code programs at the machine. The only common skill I lack is Mastercam just because I've never been given the chance to play with it. I am looking for a position in a small to medium sized shop in central Connecticut doing short run jobs that could use a multi talented guy to help make things go. I am no "button pusher" or "operator" and like to be involved in everything. My philosophy is to help make the company as much money as I can so there is no excuse to give me more. My resume is available upon request
Thank you
