Hello everyone,

My name is Daniel and this is my first post here.

I have a degree in mechanical engineering and currently have a full time job. I take a great interest in CNC machining and would like to learn more about it, such as using CAM software, doing setups and then also running the machine itself.

I live in Chicago area. Are there any good trade schools out there where I could learn? If not, what would be the best way?

Thanks

Dan

Dan: I am not much of a believer in learning this kind of stuff off line. At least for me it does not work. If I am not using day to day I forget it very shortly. I need to learn a little, try it out, learn a little more, etc. I suggest you look for small older VMC (not too old), buy a subscription to fusion 360 when it's on sale for $50 or so +/- and jump in. You'll learn a lot more that way. (check your PM)
