Opportunity for someone who knows how (and loves) to run a lathe.
Most of the turning we do involves bearing fits and precision shafts with threads for bearing nuts - one off work for prototyping rather than production job shop work. Once volume goes up we outsource to a local job shop - high mix low volume is more of our shops bread and butter. Largest lathe here is a 20in swing x 80in bed. Equipment is well maintained and accurate, fitted with quality DROs.
Ability to operate a manual mill and CNC milling machines is also a plus as well as ability to assemble custom machinery. We use Feature CAM with SolidWorks, and setup and program Haas, as well as our own Siemens 840D controlled machines.
