Does anybody own or use a Cincinnati model 25 box column drill press? I found one for sale but can't find any info other than a lone youtube video. It looks to be a pretty stout machine. Just wondering how it compares to a Cincy Super Service box column drill press.

I have the 21" version, as does a partner of mine. Great drills! Not quite the brute workhorse the Super Services are, but awesome for what I do with it, and a bit more compact to boot. Easy to use and built to last many lifetimes. Can scan manuals for you if you get it. Click the link below...

Thanks cretedog, your thread was exactly the info I was looking for.

I called the seller and was informed they wanted $4,000 for the one I was looking at. They look like nice machines, but that's more than I would want to pay for one. I guess it was a case of, "if you have to ask the price, you can't afford it." I will keep my eyes open for one though, I'm sure I'll eventually run across another on an auction or c list.

Homestead- Check out the old thread below. There are quite a variety of upright drills out there that would probably fill your bill- and they still surface regularly for much less than the Cincinnati you were looking at.

Was slow on the draw and didn't see the link to the drill til now cretedog. How much were they asking for the Cincinnati? What kind of shape did it look to be in?
