I bought a K-T 2HL and finally got it wired up. I noticed after only a few minutes and no load at the higher rpms, feeling inside the spindle, the front spindle bearing seems to be a little warm. The weep hole under the spindle nose was plugged and I cleaned that out. No oil is coming out of it but I don't know if that is to be expected. The rear bearing has oil leaking out the back so I know that one's getting oil... I opened the vented cover on the side of the column and saw the oil pump spraying very well out of the copper tubes where I can see them, but I can't see in there if the front bearing is getting sprayed directly.

I just wondered what to expect with the spindle temp or what to watch for.

Also noticed the 1-3/8 and 1-3/4 ipm feeds don’t work with the select lever in its horizontal/detent position, but if the lever is turned a little clockwise, they begin working again. The other feeds work ok. Seems to me something must be worn with the timing mechanism(?)

Any input into solutions is very much appreciated, thanks!
