Default KT 3ch-10HP horizontal - disassembly of the knee

I have one of my K&T 3ch's, it has some wierd elctro hydraulic freed mechanism, feeds shown on the disc to 90 IPM. The feed has never worked since I have owned the machine and I just started investigating today. Is there a manual or instructions on how the knee is supposed to come apart on these?

I used to rebuild a lot of those maybe 30 yrs ago...I could probably walk you though it. Can you take a few pictures of it and either post here or PM me. First thing is to fire up the machine and put it in the slowest feed rate. Some of those machines you had to remove the back controls before pulling the front cover. There are jack screws on the front and you put in longer bolts so the cover can hang on them as you jack screw it out. On some of the machines there is a small cover on the left side of the knee that you had to pull off so you can remove a keyed shaft that is part of the feed selector. With out seeing a picture I can't be positive you have that one. Take front and both sides if possible. I might have some books in my collection, but will have to open a few boxes tomorrow Today I'm pooped, been rebuilding / new Rulon the X axis on a Okuma Howa VMC.
