This seemed the most appropriate subforum for such a machine, so posting here. I just picked up a neat old horizontal/universal mill on the cheap, but I can't find much info on it aside from it was made in Denmark.

As the title says, it's a Pedersen VPF-U 21, a 9 HP 11" x 55" horizontal with a vertical head that can swivel to cut angles on Y or lead/trail angle on X. It boasts an impressive 39" of X axis travel, 3 axis power feed with electronic start/stop, variable speed from 24.5 to 2,400 RPM and 40 taper spindles. Seems to be in pretty good shape overall. It's a brute of a machine, we estimate ~5,000 lbs with the way the Massey 40B tractor struggled to lift it versus the 4,000 lb Lagun FTV-4 we moved last week.

I'm looking forward to having a secondary op machine, and being able to use this squatty beast for the bull work that I feel is taxing for my 3 HP, R8 spindle Lagun FTV-2

I only paid $800, so figure I really couldn't go wrong, but definitely need to put a bit of TLC into her and learn about it.
