I would like to get any recommendations for turning, Drilling, and tapping A286 Stainless. We are running small parts off a Tornos EVO16. The part has 2 counter bores on each end of the part .200 deep with an I.D. .1145. Over all part length .500 with a 4-40 tapped hole between the counter bores. I would like any ideas for turn inserts, drills, and feed rates. We are having no luck with tools lasting more than 200 pieces. Would ceramic inserts and cobalt drills be a good option? Thanks.
