Adding MPG pendant to Fanuc 18i? Help

Hi all

Ive browsed the interwebs and cant find much at all on adding a MPG pendant to Fanuc control.I can find the pendants but no info or pics on adding them. I have an 18i-mb with a mpg on the main panel, but would like to have one on a cord too.

Has anyone done this?

I would think I could add some sort of switch that would isolate which mpg/axis switch I wanted to use.

Any help would be appreciated.

Did your machine sell with that as an option. You would need the pin outs on the panel board. Often, the boards are the same even if you machine did not come with the option.

Usually this is a simple job. If your machine has rotary switches to select axis and increment it will be easy (assuming you are fairly electrically savvy). If your machine is using some other method for axis and increment selection then it could get nasty. What do you have?

I have a 2005 Bridgeport VMC-1000. Fanuc 18i-mb control
It has rotary switch for axis and switch for increment of feed.
