Anyone run an older Mikron VMC particularly in the UK

I have an eye out for a VMC I know Mikrons were /are high end but how is it running an old one for reliability and repair.

I have dealt with Georg Fischer /Aggie Charmilles many years ago ,do they still support old machines if needed.

That seems to be the impression they trying to create but I don't know how true it is. I don't know how many, if any at all, of their basic machining centres are their own design. In the past they sold rebadged Haas verticals...

Yes I know some were a rebadged Haas but I am talking about the ones that are more Deckel like with a Heidenhein control. They seem to come up for sale from time to time at the right sort of money but as they are Swiss machines I wondered if they were expensive to keep going.
