I have an alarm showing up on my Mori SL-1 with a Yasnac 2000B control. After a power interruption I cannot get rid of alarm #29. It is not listed in the manual either. I have talked with Yasnac (young guy who didn't seem to know much about this machine - nor did I feel he really cared.) told me to look for the LED lights on the drive board and let him know what was lit and what wasn't. The problem is there aren't any LED lights, and once we discussed that his thought was to get service out here and do a retrofit because he feels the board is no good......I think he doesn't know the old drive, and this is his quick fix. When the power interruption happened the Mori was idle between cycles. My Haas VMC went down, and one of the quick blow fuses went out and we had to replace it before it would start up again. Is there something perhaps such as this with the Mori? Any and all suggestions, advice, direction, much appreciated......cannot afford to do any retrofit, and hate to pay for a service call to replace a fuse I cannot find. Machines are powered by a 30HP CNC Rotary Phase Converter.

Russ, this is just a thought but, I would disconnect all power and look in the cabinet for a tripped circuit breaker. Could be when the power went off and came back on the inrush was enough to trip one. I may turn out to be something dumb like that, you could pull the fuses and check them all with a meter also just to be sure.

Okuma used Yaskawa motors on machines with OSP3000 controls during the first half of the 80's. The drives say Okuma on them, but could be made by Yaskawa for all I know. On these, if you have a power interruption it almost always results in one or more of the axis drives tripping out. Turning control power off and on has no effect. Have to shut off the main power supply to the machine for a minute or so, and the drive(s) will reset and operate normally. Maybe you've had the main power disconnected already, but if not you might give it a try.

Hi Guys.....thanks for the help. Ended up paying for emergency call to my electrician last night. Guy came in and found three fuses blown. Two where the power comes in, and further down the line between those and the spindle drive. So much for Tech support with Yaskawa!!
Anyone know a good source for fuses? These are Kyosan, 600 Volt 55 Amp (P/N 60FHS 55)and have a sort of piston feature bolted to the side of them which was attached to some sort of micro-switch. Two of those were blown. I tried a couple places on the west coast last night hoping to get lucky and get a UPS Saturday delivery but no one had the fuses. Oh, well.....back to the search!

JTEK (Texas) sell Kyosan http://www.kyosan-fuse.com/pages/res...arch=Kyosan:60
They are rectifier fuses, so make sure you get the exact equivalent if you sub them.
Anyone who stocks Gould-Shawmut or Ferraz-Shawmut should also have subs for them.
(JTEK also carry parts for Japanese CNC machines)
