Can CTFP holder and TPG inserts cut on a "pull" stroke out of a bore?

I don't have many tool holders for my new to me lathe. A Kennametal B12-CTFPR3 NA8 toolholder is my sturdiest boring bar, and I plan to buy a couple inserts for it. The challenge is that I've only figured out how to make my cnc controller run final rough and finish passes while it's "pulling" the boring bar out of the pocket. I don't see any positive holding features to keep a TPG insert from pulling out of the CTFP style boring bar. Can these cut on a pull stroke, or only on "push" cuts?

Until I can con my controller into going the other way, should I look at a different style boring bar?

I have a 3/8" SCLNR style boring bar that I've used for small items or bigger things going slow. I could see getting a bigger MCLNR or an MVLNR to give me some undercut abilities.

Thanks, Kevin

I got tooling and answered the question for myself: It cut fine on a pull stroke. I didn't try really high feeds. No need to tempt fate for this one-off part.
