i have a takumi machining center with a mitsubishi controller i am looking for the code i need to lock the spindle from rotating , thanks for any help

Understand that M19 will rotate the spindle to the reference location and hold it there. It is a spindle orient command.

Depending in what you are doing this could be an important detail!

i am using a digital microscope to find locations on a 30 pin connector
Is that as in a 30 way D type? Data sheets for those are all over the internet with pin locations. One example

Regards Phil.

P.S if you’re going to be clamping a scope into the spindle, I’d program a S0 (zero), so if the spindle happens to get started its at zero revs. But it will still do what ever speed its set at to orient.

Be aware that sometimes spindles aren't perfectly stationary at orientation. On most MCs, the spindle is just held in place by the motor, not mechanically locked, so some "hunt" slightly.

ussing C axis or simple positioning
m14 is c-axis
m19 is positioning
do you need brake?
