I would like to hear some recommendations for cnc textbooks, preferably oriented towards milling. Thanks.

The best book you will ever find is the grouchy ol' grey haired bastard nobody ever wants to talk to---- if you know who he is, and you ain't buddied up to him, you is a missin the last o the last. Books are for filling in what you didn't hear or understand what he said. Oh and did I forget to mention, he is running out of days and interest.

Google Peter Smid. He writes the best books for beginners-advanced. This topic has been brought up Numerous times.......Search button is ur Friend!

Agree on Peters books, especially the one on macros/subs. It cleared up a lot for me.
They're available at MSC

Download the Haas vmc manual for free, great source of information.
