We have a captive toolroom facility to make our own moulds for rubber & plastic parts. We are looking for a VMC which offers us good accuracy so that minimum hand work is required on the mould, specially for mould matching process. After much consideration we have to choose between YCM 1020 NXV & DMG MORI CMX 800 V. We had almost finalised YCM but recently we were got a very competitive price from DMG MORI. For additional 15K USD we can go for DMG machine.
Though DMG MORI is a far more established machine maker but is their entry level model CMX 800 V good enough or in other words will it be worth spending that extra 15K?
