Hello,

On a Fanuc 16i-t control, anybody know if it is possible to set the C-axis so +/- 5° is the same position and the sign +/- define the direction of the rotation cw/ccw.

thank you.

Yours doesn't?

I think that you could have expanded on your question/meaning a bit more, so let me drag some info out of you...

Are you saying that you want to be able to program:

G0 C0
G1 C-5.

???

..and you are under the assumption that 5* neg of C0 is actually C-355.

???

None of mine are that way - and that includes an 18iT.

However - it WILL DISPLAY C355.

Another option if it helps - is H-5. H5.
This is the INCR bother to C.

Have you actually tried it - or are you playing with CAM in your jammies?

EDIT:

After walking away (and resetting the saw) it occurred to me that another possibility in what you meant (and this makes more sense with your wording) is that you want to get to C+5. ABS but you may want to go neg to get there.

C-355. is what you are looking for then. That is an actual location and direction, however - it will read C5 on the CRT.
