Hello,
We are running programs on an 18T FANUC Control on a Lathe
at the end of program, the machine will display 5010 ALARM END OF RECORD.
It is being used without a barfeeder.
The program ends with M05.
If I end by M99 or M02, program will restart by itself at the end.
I do not want it to do so.

When using the same commands to end a FANUC OT control, never have a problem.

Somebody suggests the correct way?

M5 is spindle stop
M99 and M2 both (as you found) will re-start program from the start (M99 will actually go to next N word-that's why it's used at the end of a sub-programs-that is why it went to the start in this case)
M30 is standard end of prog when running the program once thru

I run M2 on all my progs on my 18T as well as other Fanucs, never had this issue. ???

I have had my MDSI control doo this and I just ended up puting an M1 in the begining of the prog.

I wonder if the whole group A vs. group C codes have something to do with it...M2 on the 18T would always restart at the beginning. Do you use an N word on the first line of your progs? Just wondering what 'tis.

Do you use an N word on the first line of your progs?

Are you talking to me?

I don't use an N untill I call a toy.

Same on my 16T. No issues either way.

I have an old "0" that the jurry is still out on yet?

I am Ox and I approve this here post!
