i think there is a good supply of Apple phones out there at the moment, with android coming in second or so
so if you want it to be used put in it in apple OS.

Thanks Street. It is available for both Android & Apple phones.

Reviews in the Google Store show that the best features are not free, but require you to upgrade to a paid version of this tool.

Please consider updating your forum post to list free vs not-free tools?

I also did not see the price for upgrading to the Pro version.

I actually had the calculator for a while.

Started with free version then went to paid version.
In the time i had it...

What I really wish it hard was just general starting points much like G wizzard supplies. For that odd "I need a tiny hole" in a material I don't work in much good starting points for feeds and speeds for drills for example.

Ultimately I HAD to get rid of this app because of what it does to the battery of an iphone. Whatever you do, do not let the paid version run in the background or it will absolutely kill your battery life like no app iv ever seen.

This is surprising to me. I've had a couple people tell me about battery issues on Android, so I Implemented some updates to fix the issue. I need three things from you. What iOS device did you use? What version of iOS software were you using? And, what version of the app were you using.

Is anyone else having battery issues with the iPhone version?

Thanks for the feedback,

Shane

Phone : Iphone 6s
Software was purchased on 01/11/2015 and sought refund on 23/11/2015
So it would be whatever newest version of both app and IOS available at that time.

Note: I never noticed the problem on the free version. Just the 'pro'

Hope that helps.

Thanks Flying Freak. I've updated both the free and the pro version twice since November. There have been many improvements in the software I use to develop the app as well. A change log can be found here. Engine 1.24 was released in November. The battery life issue should be taken care of.

The Free & the Pro version are developed from the same source code. Battery usage will be the same for both. Do you mind testing the newest free version to see if your battery life has improved?

Thank you,

Shane

Been using this since the start and it’s come a long ways In development. I’m very happy with it and use it often. I did get the paid version and look forward to more updates. Hoping one day it will have all the M code and G code so I don’t have to resort to paper ;-).
