Thread: Fuji DC spindle motor drive stuff.

So I went out to Wisconsin to try to help my buddy get his two Ikegai FX20N/6T lathes up and running.

With some help from the imminently knowledgable Dan Fritz, I managed to diagnose his problems to one dead spindle drive and one likely damaged spindle drive.

I'd like to find out if there's a place that can rebuild/overhaul these drives.

Also, if I can find the SCR units for these drives, I might just replace them in the damaged drive to see what happens. I'm having some trouble finding these though. Both drives have different numbers, but I'm fairly sure they are interchangeable.

Anyone know where to find these guys? I did a google search and found a bunch of overseas sites that had them listed. I submitted a few RFQ's but haven't heard anything yet. They may not want to talk to me since I don't need 1000 of them or whatever.
