Hello

I'm using a Haas ST-30 with LMC PC-10-78-01 10" power chuck. The chuck jaw lifts about .005" at clamping pressure of 150 p.s.i. The movement is clearly visible in the master jaw / chuck body interface.

Replace or repair? Is it possible to repair them?

I've never heard of anyone repairing them. The only way you could really do it is to grind the chuck body and make new masters with smaller grooves. By the time you do that, you could probably buy a new chuck.

FWIW, .005 doesn't seem too bad to me.

I don't know. Seeing the master jaw move .005" when clamping at low pressure makes me think hard jaws and collet pads are a no-go on this lathe.
