GT-27 Axis servo motor not working. Recommend a place to call for a rebuild?
The machine is a CMS-Upagrade Technologies GT-27, and the company that made the axis motor (QMC, New Ulm, MN) is no longer in business.
I know I can get a used motor for $1800/core, but I'd like to find a place to send my bad motor to see if it can be rebuilt, preferably somewhere west of the Rockies.
Any suggestions for a reputable servo motor rebuild shop?

call mike costello at cncnew. they have rebuilds and new motors. it does seem really ridiculous how much those motors cost considering you can get red cap fanuc motors for about the same price used.

I ended up sending the motor to a place called Nyco Systems in Rialto, CA. Total cost to repair was $380 including shipping both ways. Motor is back in the machine and running, and I'm a happy camper.
