Good evening,
My name's Brian. I've been signed up at Practical Machinist for a while, but I finally have a little time to swing by and introduce my self. A little about myself.. I am a 25 year old veteran coming off of a 5 year stint in the Marine Corps as a Reconnaissance/Intelligence Operator (swift, silent, deadly). I have a beautiful wife, a three year old son and a 1 month old daughter.
Machines I run and setup frequently: Okuma LB15 OSP 5020, HAAS SL-20, Fadal VMC, YAM CK-1 & 2. I am certified and currently program with MasterCAM, I used to weld and paint.
I've been raised around machining since my teenage years. My father served his apprenticeship in Chicago over 40 years ago. All but about two years ago I've really taken a dive into the trade and soaked up all the knowledge that has come my way. I am truly passionate when it comes to the trade and look forward to connecting with more people like my father and the machinist whom I work beside.
