Thread: help with CNC Shark Pro Plus HD

Hello all,

I am trying to set up a CNC Shark Pro Plus HD made by Rockler. Unfortunately, Rockler's machines don't work with Mach3, instead it comes with its own control box and software (Vcarve) that outputs code in .tap files. I am programming in Mastercam, which outputs NC files.

Does anyone know if there is a post processor for Mastercam that will work with the Shark Pro Plus HD, or a way to convert .NC to .tap files?

Just change the .nc extension to .tap and re-name the file.... pretty sure that works, I know I've changed from NC to TXT and then to TAP and never had a problem.

+1 I change extension for my Trax lathe with no problem. ( .lx2 )

You can set-up mastercam to post the file with the ".tap" file extension as well... Just a thought
