HI Need help with Feeler FV-1600 cnc mill, Meldas 64 control, dead battery....

Hi, I have sent PLC in to reinstall OPTIONS , and PARAMETERS..problem is Z axis will always return to zero position when moved with MDI..
can not do a tool change.. X and Y are good...Z moves good by hand...
 
can you help me with that, why would Z always return to zero in MDI mode..?
I have a few Macro's in the Manual but no idea how to install..
I am a noob at this, machine has been sitting in different shop for over a year..
Very thankful for your help..
 
I'm not sure. You have done a zero return when you start up the machine correct? Does the Z return to zero as soon as you switch to MDI, or do you have to run a code to make it return to zero?
 
yes home procedure works correct also...also displays correct measurements...Z axis returns to home when I try to move anywhere with MDI..
