kitamura mycenter fanuc 0m spindle alarm 1008

I know this is a MTB alarm but I am unsure where to start. Yesterday one of our guys meant to erase all programs and instead wiped the control. Power up and hold Reset + Delete. Arrg!

So today I hand typed 900 and IO params. Then read in the rest of the NC params. That cleared all alarms but this one- spindle alarm 1008. The MTB manuals give no hint. Generally these alarms come from something easy like a switch or solenoid, correct? I could not find a copy of the diagnostic params so that could be the root of the problem. However, it seems that most of the diagnostics are still in place. It did loose the tool changer diagnostics, which I did find and reloaded. These are digital servos I believe, not the more modern alpha. The spindle drive reads all 000's which I think means ready?

Our service tech that supports this machine is sick and out for a while. Therefore I have been nominated to this chore.

Almost guaranteed to be an unset or incorrectly set diagnostic parameter. Do you have a hard copy of the ladder diagram?

Yes i do. And I watched the ladder a saw it was hanging at d462 i believe. I will look more closely tomorrow.

These guys are experts. I taught a scraping class there. You can drop my name on service dept call. Not sure that will help... lol
