If someone has jobs to offer, how can you post the salary range, without knowing the level of the applicant?

If you find some super go-getter, can setup, program, fix, rebuild ANY machine in the shop, and has Excellent people skills, you will be able to pay a premium wage.
Do you advertise the salary range as $8.00 to $90.00 an hour?

Seriously, if you have an opening, unless you have already grown to the point that you can ONLY fill ONE very SPECIFIC job, then what you can offer for pay, and what you can use for help might be WIDE open.

Should you advertise that you can pay up to $90. an hour, if you get a bunch of entry level applicants?

If you have multiple machines in the shop, and a turning operator shows up, can he help out? Most likely. If a vertical operators shows up, can he help?
Do you want to Exclude them by stating you ONLY need a wire operator?

The OP stated that he had an opening. Simple. Straight to the point.
What are all these comments about being rude, and catching flies with vinegar etc..??

There are openings here in Wisconsin.
    Big shortage of workers.

Not to put up with guys who did not hear the pop when you got out of bed this morning.(in case your confused THAT WOULD BE YOUR HEAD POPPING OUT OF YOUR ASS). It says it all in the title cnc operator. NOT machinist, not programmer sure and shit not 30/hr. CNC OPERATOR and if I need to define it for you , you have not heard the pop for sure. NOW STAND AROUND WAIT TILL YOU DO but sure and shit dont post here cuz im way to busy.

You may have better luck posting here:

    Career Opportunities

we all gotta eat so if there are any lookers in there I'm pretty sure they've already heard the pop .

I love NH, me and the wife are saving our pennies for a place up there someday. Glad to hear your busy. everyone I network with (mat'l suppliers, other shops etc.) says they are very busy, we are here too, I haven't totaled it up yet but this will probably be my second best month ever, maybe first. That extra day this month may put me over the top.

you may have better luck on Craigslist . I am from Manchester and we had a medium size shop with about 30-40. we had people come down from Boscawen and that area. So they are out there. Isn't there a couple of plants in Newport ( Ruger etc. ).

we also had great luck training operators if they had basic mechanical skills. sometimes were better than "experienced" operators.
