I'm in need of some macro information. Anybody have any good websites or books or other information pertaining to them?

I'm wanting to create a program to check flatness on a large disc I run in the lathe. I want the probe to touch the face, spin the disc X number of degrees, and repeat this process Y times. Then I want to take all the values from the steps and subtract the lowest value from the highest value. Then if this difference is greater than a preset number, an error flashes. If the difference is smaller, then the program finishes on out and everything is ok.

Yes I know using a mag base indicator and spinning the disc would be cheaper and maybe easier. But let's go with the program idea.

This is a good book if you have a fanuc or fanuc-like control:

Fanuc CNC Custom Macros by Peter Smid

Another good book is the one by Mike Lynch on parametric programming for CNC machines and touch probes. You can look it up at www.cncci.com
