macros often look like regular programs some are 8000 or 9000 programs with write protection from editing easily
.
many end in M99 and it returns to original program. often running a program you can see program number at top change to 8000 or 9000 series program at tool change or similar thing. when macro done it returns to original program
editing 8000 and 9000 programs see your manual often have to change parameter 8000 or PWE or parameter write enable to 1 in mdi mode
then change another parameter to change
8000 program
and another parameter to change 9000 programs
.
when done you change parameters back so editing cannot be done by accident
Apart from 8000/9000 series, there can be several other program numbers as macros, though it is not a good practice.
Look into the directory. There might be small descriptions against most programs.
