Have a Mazak 10 cnc lathe that has the error code " 25 F. Servo AMP X" Any idea what this means.

Without a book in front of me, I'm taking a guess here, but it sounds like the X axis amplifier took a dump. To be sure though, open the power cab and look at the error code on the amp. Look it up in the maintanance service book or ladder. If you can't, or don't have the books, call MAZAK with the error code and they can tell you whats going on with certain checks to verify that.

How old is your Mazak? If you look in the cabinet, you should see 3 amplifiers (For X, Z, and spindle or more depending on the machine) with a LED display flashing a number and/or letter. Find your X amp. You may have to look in the maintainance book to see which one it is. Sometimes it will say around the amp. This is the error code you need to look up in the books or contact Mazak.
