Mazak vtc 16 mill

Does anyone know if you can run a g code program that is produced by a cam program on a mazak vtc 16 mill. This mill has the mazatrol control.

You need EIA ISO option enabled to run g-code on M-Plus control.

Thank you. Do you need any special equipment for a computer to communicate with the machine?

RS 232 cable and software thats all you need to send and receive programs from pc to machine.

I sent eia programs to that machine to engrave part numbers and or serial numbers. The machine did have eia but I don't recall if it was and option. Mazak had trouble making up their minds about whether to include eia with mazatrol on different controls.

To find out, simplest way is to go to PROGRAM, enter a NEW program number, and if the control asks MAZATROL or EIA then you have eia available.
