Mori NLX2500/700 lathe live tooling cutter comp not working

Having trouble getting milling cutter comp with live tooling to function in this lathe. Using X and Y axis to mill a slot on the face with an endmill we get no movement when attempting to adjust slot size using R value in Geometry offset. Attempted using R in Wear offset page and still no movement from programmed toolpath. Used same R value in BOTH pages and still nothing. G41 and G40 are used and machine faithfully follows programmed path but no compensation has been successful to date. Any tips?

So you are cutting inward in X?

If so turn your comp on with a Y move, then your X cutting move. I bet your walls are tapered because the comp is being turned an and adjusted for as the cutting move is taking place.

position to Y-.09, or something.

See if something like that works for you.

Thanks Sinha, you are absolutely right. Changed and ran fine. Gonna have to fix my post, can't believe I didn't see that. I would have thought it would have alarmed out and not driven the arcs, but it was perfectly happy to do it, just no comp activation.
