IMTS - Who's going and what days?

I was hoping to go. Had my shades packed, along with a few clothes. Really needed to look at Lathes and some other goodies, but we are so far behind and with Christmas coming I'll be lucky to see daylight between now and then. Hell its 11:21 in the pm and Obama scared me no end so I better get out to the shop and make it before it gets taxed away.

Tony - uphold the Tennessee honor. we will drink no whiskey before its time - after 9:00am and before 6:00 am

I'm not sure yet what days I'll show up, depends on what comes up between now and then.

Does anyone have any experience driving to the show each day and parking there? Last time I stayed with my Aunt in Tinley (which I'll be doing again, likely), and took the bus from the mall to the L at midway, then from the L to a few blocks away, and from there took a quick bus to the show. I don't recall exactly, but it seemed like the whole process took about 2 hours each way.
I've been told that parking and driving there really isn't as bad as one might expect, can anyone confirm that?

I will be in chi town with a group of friends Thursday, Friday, Saturday. We are planning on going to the show at least Friday and Saturday. We are also planning on going out on the town each night. So if anyone would like to tag along and have a good time with a bunch of college boys, feel free, I am sure you would have a good time. In the mean time, anyone who goes should go to the Partners In Thinc booth. It happens to be what I worked on all spring and summer. The actual parts being made in the booth isn't particularly impressive, but the premise behind what is going on is pretty cool, and interesting, it is nice to see competing vendors working together.

Valiant- I have never had a problem parking there. They direct you all the way through and most of the time I only have about a 5 minute walk to get in. I however do usually go the ending weekend Friday and Saturday. I am not sure if parking is harder to get at the beginning of the show.

I will be there Wednesday through Friday. Just not enough time to see all that I want to see, barly enought to see what I have to.

Fri and Sat.

Staying "somewhere" - but not at the usual places downtown this time. The wifeys stayin home. Says I'm no fun!

Hoping to meet up with some chumms, but not sure yet...

I plan to be in Chicago the whole week, but will take time off to go to some good local attrations (museums, art galleries) since 40+ hours of walking the show will fry even my brain.

But I will be cramming a lot of shopping into 1 week, for two or three purchases quite likely to happen before the next IMTS.

I'm going on Thursday and Friday morning. What is the signal showing your a PM member????? I've heard in the past a red dot or somethin. Just curious. I have alot of stuff I want to look at, somethings I need to look at, however I would enjoy divoting a little time to shake a couple hands and say hi. Maybe even do the WI thing and have a beer.

For me likely = the "good lookin" guy in the black Ski-doo hat and a concert T-shirt of some sort? DEFINITELY a HAT of some sort tho!

If cool enough I may have a black sweatshirt on that has Calvin pissing on the Sierra Club on the back. ;)

I must be good lookin as I have gotten to the point that I stay away from the skirts as they are way too freindly to me there. I don't generally have this issue other places? Maybe the Chi Town gurls haven't seen us Ohio fellas much?

I KNOW that if Mitty comes to the show a day ahead of me that all will be fine tho. I won't look like nutt'n after him. :o

I'll be there the whole show. Actually I'll be there setting up starting on Tuesday next week.

http://www.imts.com/visitor/exdir/showroom/00001693.html

We will be showing Tsugami SS20, SS32, BH20, BH38, BW12, BE 12, BE 20, P03 and TMU1 models. All have cutting demos. Everything from Brass to Titanium, and Stainless.

In addition we will have software demos on CAM software from Tsugami and PartMaker. Monster Accessories will be showing high pressure coolant pumps and Swiss accessories.

We will also be exhibiting a Loxin machining center. It's one of those Tricept parallel kinematic deals (like a hexapod). http://www.loxin2002.com/index.php/en/centres

In addition there will be an informational display from Morris Turbine Group and Liechti Engineering http://www.liechti.com/index_en.htm if you make blisks or blades.

I think that's about everything.

Stop by and say hello. Ask for Murph.

I'm glad ox has the right consept. As for me, look for the guy with a harley had on, and I'll have a small chub looking at the purdy gals, and a little bigger chub watching all the machine porn first hand. If you see the second hand......yup that'l be me.

I may have a black Johnny Deere hat on instead, but I guess the best tell tale is that I am the guy not carrying NOTHING! Other than possibly a bottle of pop.

The first cpl yrs I came home with bags of lit and sore arms! Then aboot that time they came out with the credit card concept and they would send you the info. I am ALL over that like stink on $hit! Haven't carried anything in 10 yrs? :D

See you at the show - even if I don't know it. ;)
