I'm looking for information on CNC tube coping (nocthing) machines. There doesn't seem to be to many out there, I found a expensive laser one, but I'm looking for something cheaper that uses a plasma. Does anyone know a company that makes something like this?
Thanks

Depends on what you mean by "tube". Also depends on the tolerances you require. Oxy-fuel doesnt have the control, especially on small stuff, that laser does. So if you are doing precision on 1/2", then you are pretty much stuck with laser. Might be a waterjet system out there?

Most of the plasma and torch, models are for larger diameters- 2" and up usually.
For smaller stuff, its usually either done with a laser, for the precision, or done mechanically.
IE, with a shear setup, either freestanding or tooling that fits in some kind of press, or sometimes even with abrasive belts.

Assuming you want big,
these guys make a plasma model, made in USA.

Heres one, think its from Taiwan, should be cheaper-

You really ought to get the Tube and Pipe Journal, if just for the ads. Its free.

Most of the industry advertises in it.

also, this is good site- http://www.tubenet.org/main.shtml

I've been down this road and found that it's all uphill...depending on what you're needs are.

If you need precision fitup for TIG welds (like I do), by the time you figure in machine cost and secondary cleaning of the cut, having an outside source laser cut your tubes will be cheaper and much less hassle.
