VDI tool holder dimensions

Hi all,

I need the dimensions for the VDI standard (DIN 69880). VDI 30 specifically but the others to some degree would be useful. something exactly like this:

only legible.
DIN charges almost $100 for a copy of the standard and i donught need them that badly.

can anybody point me in the right direction?

There is a fairly good chart in Kennametal's KM Quick Change Tooling catalogue, depending on how specific the data is that you require. My catalogue is several years old, so you might have to scrounge around in a newer lathe tooling catalogue.

The reason to look in the quick change tooling catalogues is, of course, because they need to sell you an adapter for their own system. Having said that, probably Sandvik might have the similar data.

Here's a link to Centaur tools. They have some good tech support guys. I bet if you called them and talked nice they would fax or email you the specs.

That site you linked to. The actual URL of that table is this:

If you down load & save that, then open it with some thing like “paint”. You can zoom on those features. Or blow it up to full size or 200%

I just tried it, under View – View Bitmap, its reasonably readable.

You might have other picture software, that could enlarge it or clean it up.

I did just that but it was still a little too fuzzy. however if you look closely at that .jpg at the top left corner you can see "www.69880.com" its another Chinese site, but they have a very clear version of that same drawing (for anyone interested go to "New Tech" the click DIN69880. so i guess i found what i was looking for.

thanks for the suggestions though.
