Which of the above would you recommend for a small shop with currently 3 mills (2 stama robodrills MC 14 and MC10 on fanuc and 1 haas vf2 with tr160 5 axis trunion)?
We are mostly working in aluminium but we would like to have a machine capable of stable milling in steel (nothing special, plain carbon steel and stainless steel v2 and v4). Parts are mostly 100x100x30mm in size, but some of them alot smaller, like 20x20x10mm or some of them larger, 300x150x30mm in size. We are in southeastern Europe.

Do some research on what kind of tech support you have in your area, find a tech and what he is most capable of working on, scratch off those on the list that you do not have support for.

Shit happens, you need someone to help you scrape it off sometimes.

I have a DMU 60 T from 2007 and rather like it - but it (like many/most DMUs?) is a full on 5-axis machine.
Do you need/want 5-axis?
(Depending on how they are configured the DMGs can be quite complex... Mine has 5 motors, a spindle chiller, 5 scales, a hydraulic brake, etc...)
On the other hand, 3+2, 4+1 and 5x can be Very Very Useful.
Also, DMGs (and I think Hermle's, perhaps others) can be had with various different controllers - you will want to be sure that the particular controller on the particular machine is still supported, and at sensible cost.

Spend an extra $1000 if that is what it takes to see and test a machine under power, Take someone along that knows the machine if you don't. avoid machine flipper machines. A used machine it is mostly about condition not make.
