Here is what you do...

You create a test that is typical of what you want them to do in you're shop...

No reason to test someone on something you will never ask of them...

Also... the more difficult the test, the more money the guys will want...

So try to find the employee that can do what you need...

If you're not going to the moon... No need to hire a rocket scientist...

Actually the boss has more work in than we got time to do it in so it looks like we have to wheel the time machine out again so we can hit the delivery dates

My boss must have went to the same school of thought. Better to take a black eye for being late than to miss the job all together. I've been on 6 day weeks since last October.
