    Default Tailstock for Mill

I need a tailstock for a 4th axis rotary to be used in our Haas mills. I've looked at the Haas branded models on their website, but I've never seen one in person. Are they decent quality?

They look appealing to me because they are already a 4" center height and have hold-downs designed for mill table T-slots. Also, they accept #3 MT centers, which we already have in hand.

I'm open to suggestions if something better is available for a similar price.

Try looking at the nikken website They do a loverly tailstock that swings out of the way when you take parts in and out Which means when you have something long to hold in the 4th axis you dont have to keep unbolting the tailstock in order to get the job out Boris http://homepage.ntlworld.com/boris_t...ial/opents.jpg
