I had to do some 6-32 threads with a cresting insert single point on a mori seiki cnc lathe the other day. It was 304 s.s. Had some break while threading some not. I got some rejected cuz the nogo went on about 2 threads. Was running about 1200 rpm. Do you guys think it is possible to consistently run threads that small om a cnc lathe? Thanks in advance!

Done plenty of them on 316.
I've found that 2 or 3 spring passes will greatly help with your problem.
Also, on my HAAS there is a taper field in the offset page that you can use to eliminate the effects of deflection. The nice thing about it is that you can adjust it as needed when you go from a new, sharp tool to a slightly worn one.

I would check the OD before threading to make sure the end is not tapering causing the no go to go on 2 thrds.
Also ckeck the whole thrd with thrd mic's or wire's
sometimes the offset is moved in to make the go gage go when it is really just a taper problem on the end.
